Taguba says these photos shouldn't be released because they're apparently worse than that description. That seems somewhat at odds with Obama's comments that they aren't so bad. This whole mess isn't going to die down, especially when you have generals effectively saying they should be secret because they are so incredibly bad.

I don't think releasing them will do much to anger anyone in Iraq because they already have wild stories going around some of which Klast alluded to in an early post. This story in Iraq from all reports I have read is getting little reaction because they already think worse has happened. In fact releasing this might quell some of the rampant rumors of a lot worse.
