Correction Mr. President, I DID build this, and please give Lurker a hug, we wouldn't want to damage his self-esteem.

Re: Mumbai
Really? "Eager shoppers"? That's the best they could do? Argh. I swear if I ever shop Black Friday, I'm walking and I'm taking a taser to fend off the asylum escapees. Before police shut down the store, eager shoppers streamed past emergency crews as they worked furiously to save the store clerk's life.

Those sheepish bastards. When will they learn that cheap vacuum cleaners and 500 thread count cotton sheet sets are just tools the man uses to keep us down?

Re: Mumbai
I don't pay a penny for internet access tyvm :-p
I do, however, pay rent. I guess you got me there. I'm such a hypocrate
Baaaaaaaaaa Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
I guess what I was trying to say is: I pity the fool that sit outside in the cold for 3 hours to go on a shopping spree. Black Friday sales to me = the closest that material items will be sold to their actual worth. Even then, most of these clothes and electronics are still being sold with a dishonest profit margin.
But then again, what do I know. I don't even own a TV.

Re: Mumbai
I wouldn't personally sit out in the cold for hours just to save $50 on a TV. My free time is more valuable than that. But the black Friday thing is kind of a family tradition for us. The women go out at 5am and shop all day, while the guys sit around the house watching football, drinking beer, and sometimes having "safety meetings", which the kids have never figured out.

Re: Mumbai
I never, ever go shopping on Black Friday. There is no sale that is worth it to me, probably because it ends up having the opposite effect of "have a holly jolly Christmas" or "peace on earth & GOODWILL towards men" on me. I like to shop downtown or uptown and avoid the malls entirely. It's more festive and less "herd of cattle mentality".

It's really disheartening to hear of stuff like this. I must be oblivious to this as I can't even imagine the type of person that pushes a store clerk down (let alone tramples them) just to buy something.
