Kanye West - 808's and Heartbreaks
I am really enjoying this album. Lots of experimental work, clearly as a result of working with daft punk, and less his typical attempts at trying to be a braggadocio. He really shines in this more ambient vane. Highly recommended. It's nice and chill.

Actually... I've caught a few tracks from this album and I have to say from what I've heard, I'm impressed.
Kanye always came off as a crappy rapper and an average at best vocalist to me... but he was always an amazing producer in my eyes. In this album he switches up his styles a bit. Songs like Love Lockdown, Street Lights and Say You Will really showed something Kanye hasn't done before.
Having said all that, I just can't stand the guy. But I can enjoy his music for what it is and this album is not bad at all.
