I asked Klast a few questions and you replied.....hostilely I might add.....and didn't provide any answers. So if you want to post just to read your pithy comments on the interwebs.....post elsewhere, or pony up real answers.

Hey did you ever go to Old City Cafe near Macalester College? That place was yum. We use to bring back a huge container of chatzilim and their fluffy pitas to Duluth for Christmas each year. When they closed, my family was so bummed we didn't bring it anymore.

I've been trying to find chatzilim for ages now (baba ganoush isn't the same) and can't find it anywhere. I'd try to make it myself, but to get the right flavor it involves scorching the eggplant over an open fire and making homemade mayo.
