10,000 Days may not be Tool's best album, but it's still better than anything Metallica ever did.

The problem with bands like Metallica, Tool, NIN, etc.. is people are so obsessed with them that no matter what garbage they put out, people eat it up.

Tool's best album is by far Undertow, with Lateralus as a close second. This does not discount their other work, as the other albums have good songs (my favorite Tool song is Push It from Aenima), but they're more sound effects and nonsense than they are content. If you're going to put out a 12 track album, could you maybe not slap your fans in the face by putting 4 tracks of ambient noise on it? Seriously, they could release a 12 minute song that features farting on a snare drum and people would take it in as being poetic and symphonic. Maynard is not a virtuoso, he's a fucking prima donna.
