Voting Question

Post by Freecare Spiritwise »

My voter registration card, under polling place says: "Mail Ballot - Vote and return Ballot"

WTF does that mean? That I can only vote by mail? Any advice?

Do I have to return my ballot by mail?

You do not have to return your ballot by mail. You may return your ballot to the County Auditor's Office or another ballot drop site designated by your County Auditor. If your county has poll sites open on Election Day, you may return your mail ballot to a poll site. Please do not allow anyone, other than someone you trust, to deliver your ballot for you. If you need assistance, please contact your County Auditor's Office.

Thanks Lurker. So I have to go pick up a ballot, bring it home, vote, and then return it? Should I just call the auditor's office? I've never voted in WA state, but the way I remember it in CA was going to a voting booth and making my selections. /boggle

You should get the ballot in the mail any day now. Click that link i posted and it'll tell you what to do if it doesn't arrive.
