Yeah - figured out the "tricks" now for destroying opposing factions and raking in the money. I'm probably slow, but let me post the obvious anyway:

- Don't bother shooting enemy ships when invading a planet. Just bomb the crap out of each city until it surrenders (or blows up). When you finally win, the enemy ships just fly away.
- Pink spice sells for an insane amount of cash.

Is it really a game or just a sandbox? It sounds too simplistic from what I've been hearing. Of course I'll never buy it with the DRM. Maybe I'll try a torrent version although I know I won't be able to see anything anyone has created.

It's a game, or more accurately 5 separate games. They're all simplistic, but still manage to be a bit of mindless fun. I doubt it will have lasting appeal to any hardcore gamer but I can see kids playing with it for months/years before being bored of it.

Actually my parents are on a month long cruise to Oz as we speak. They should be docking in Hawaii in about 5 hours. Everytime I've spoken with them in the past 2 weeks I've said "And don't forget my candy !". The only other time mom's ever been my stupid dog and her stupid dog ate about 5 lbs of candy while we were out one day. It was in her closed (but not zipped) suitcase, in her room upstairs (where the dog's weren't allowed to go) , all we had to do was follow the candy wrappers.... i was devastated
