I'm glad this was a rental because this movie is bad.
I don’t know what I expected from a scary movie produced by Ben Stiller, but it was just…bad. It’s neither suspenseful nor scary. The lead character chick (who you wish would die) was horrible and the least sympathetic character and I found myself laughing at parts that were supposed to scare me. The extra features commentary was the best because the narcissism demonstrated by the people involved was hilarious.
Hidden Information!
We’re totally breaking new boundaries…you know, the killer isn’t a person, it’s a plant! OMG GROUND-BREAKING!
I’m sorry folks, but Little Shop of Horrors beat you there. In fact Little Shop of Horrors was actually scarier.
It was set up cool, like the Descent, but then the whole plant thing was just R-tarded (with a capital R.) It was more gory than anything else, but yeah, I kept thinking "Little Shop of Horrors," too. The one interesting thing was the people who were surrounding the ruins. They were creepy in and of themselves.
