I made it so you can change your vote, because stuff changes over time.

Should have a radio button beside the options and still have the "Submit Vote" thing? Or no?

O'bama (he's Irish) is begining to lagg in the polls of likely voters, but I don't think those polls reflect all the new voters that are registering. A lot of people who felt disenfranchised in previous elections are feeling that their vote will matter this year.

All polls have an error percentage, usually bigger than they advertise.

Assuming the poll is unbiased (and that's a pretty big assumption), and that it is actually polling for the correct answer (another big assumption, especially given the electoral college), the 3% "margin" is actually the 95% confidence interval. In other words, there's a 5% chance that even if they got everything else right that they could just have got plain old bad luck and got a group of people that sampled differently to the entire population by over 3%.

Most polls ignore the electoral college's effects on the election, and so miss the entire thing (as Kerry found in '04).

Never saw a study on it but I would guess that newer votes are actually more likely to respond to a poll than more established voters as they are feeling energized.

But regardless of what the numbers say now it's pretty pointless. After the first few debates is when you want to start examining polling numbers. The only real thing the Dems should worry about right now is Obama's seeming weakening in CA. If he is weakening there....things are not trending correctly for them.

For the record....I have McCain winning by 20-40 electoral votes.

I have McCain, but by a smaller margin. The race will be tight. And it really shouldn't be, because if teh Democrats don't blow McCain out of the water, after making such a big stink about this nation's desire for change, then they'll lose momentum and credibility.
Correction Mr. President, I DID build this, and please give Lurker a hug, we wouldn't want to damage his self-esteem.

not everyone is toting the line, realistically after a bad run of republican presidents and how they jack up the middle class, the Dems win by a landslide. This just isnt the case it appears. Either people are not color blind, or they dont want change as bad as its claimed to be needed. Me? I think its a good time to prepare to move outta here.

Here is one for you.

If Obama is not leading in the polls by at least 5 points come election day he will lose.
