WoW Achievements

I know i'm not the only person who plays WoW out there with an obsessive-compulsive urge to finish every game they play to 100%. This is just gonna drive me batshit insane. I see myself sitting at my computer, at four in the morning, sleep deprived for days, trying to get every non-combat pet in the game.

Re: WoW Achievements
This is why I'm glad I quit before the first expansion. I have no interest in ever going back and all my 14 or 15 characters are permanently parked and never to be sold. I still have 21 free days in EQ but I tossed out my game folder with all it's maps and macros. It would have been fun to take a look around but really not much else. I'm still doing the same freebies and there are a lot more freebies coming out. Hey Fall! What's going on bud? I see you're still at it over at AK.

I stick around AK for nostalgia sakes anymore, any shit stirred up is purely coincidental.

Re: WoW Achievements
is that sorta like PK points only with other things now ? I'll have to adjust my monitor it's a little hard for me to read.... I reinstalled eq2 in time for the free play, so i'm playing for free. I have no desire to play eq1 or WOW again, and i've logged into eq2 a handfull of times in the 3 weeks it's been reinstalled, and i've mainly just solo'd (aka died, i'm a templar) in Fens of Nathsar (Kunark, around Cabalis and Swamp of No Hope area)... i don't have the time or really the inclination anymore, and also i'm lvl 73. I'm too high to want to go back to Kingdom of sky unless i'm feeling super nice, and too low to do all the kunark stuff... so i'm stuck =D

Re: WoW Achievements
Finish all the Kylong quests, then move to Jarsath (skip Fens, it sucks). You can fairly easily solo your way to 80 as a Temp, just invest in some dps gear.Ariannda Kusanagi wrote:i'm lvl 73. Re: WoW Achievements
I was playing around on a little necro and wizard today, but thats all I really ever do in EQ2. My warrior was only 25 when I left and I haven't really had any inclination to pick him back up.

Re: WoW Achievements
Never botherd with an eq2 mage. Started my temp and I've stuck with her since. Xalmat however still plays a mage and LOVES it. he's terribly hateful of his eq1 mage
I still have a few in Kylong, i'll finish them up maybe with some guildies and move on. thanks Dd

I've been LOVING my Inquisitor. Battle Cleric ftmfw! Been back on eq2 for like 2 months now and I'm currently level 35. Soloed the whole way, thus far. With warhammer coming out, I may jump ship.. I haven't decided yet.

Re: WoW Achievements
Fuck this noise. I retired from WoW for good yesterday, but this past week I had to go through ZG, AQ20/40, MC, and a bunch of other completely stupid shit just because my friend wanted to get them done before the expansion. This idea is worse than the STUPID seasonal events they have where you can get something semi-mediocre, or a pointless mount.Fobbon Lazyfoot wrote:http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/wrath/fe ... ements.xml

I read something about this a while back and remember seeing something that kept track of all the gold you've spent. I'm afraid to look at repair gold or money spent just on Imbued Vials.
For anyone planning on selling, do it before the end of October. PlayerAuctions.com is still up and running and I saw a few decent bids on there for accounts way worse than mine.
I'd like to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my ass.

Re: WoW Achievements
Broker on eq2 says i've earned 190pp, although I have no idea what it's been spent on =( And the worst part is I could only buy about 3 mastes for that amount, they're going for about 55pp+ per master spell... bastards

Re: WoW Achievements
The wife and I have been playing eq2 for about a year really casually and we're level 75 (SK and defiler). There's still lots for us to do. We've been doing the kylong plains/fens of nathsar quests since level 70, and counting fens and kunzar (which we've barely started), we'll hit 80 easily. I think the wife has already hit 100 AA. We're still duoing some of the kingdom of sky instances. We tried to duo unrest and mistmoore last week and we were just short of having the mojo at level 74. Those dungeons and most of the other faydwer instances are still dark blue - not really for dropping gear upgrades but more for fun and profit and a little exp, so it's fun pushing the envelope of what a decently geared duo can do.
Plat isn't really an issue since about a third of our play time (and fucking around at lunch time) is spent harvesting. We can make more plat harvesting than we can farming instances for master chests /shrug. It's totally different than our eq days of 4 boxing dungeons like hate and siren't grotto and making millions of plat but it's still fun.
We have a lot more fun as casual eq2 players than we ever did as hardcore eq1 players. And we haven't joined a guild or really made friends because we don't want to get sucked into it. I remember days being a guild leader in eq1 where we missed work and family obligations because somehow in our skewed priorities, the guild took priority over RL. Heh, moderation is a much better play experience.

Re: WoW Achievements
I agree 100% Freecare, thats why I joined a small family guild, they don't raid, they harvest a lot, group a lot and just have a ton of alts for all of them (and tradeskill). they're a really laid back, casual group and several hardcore gamers have "sekrut alts" in our guild (that ring a bell too ?).
I have much more fun logging in on weekends and knocking some stuff out then I ever did raiding every night. Not that I'd have changed a thing at the time, but this is what fits into my life now, and that was then =)

Re: WoW Achievements
You can't raid every night in EQ2 - you run out of content (unless you're chasing contested, I guess). We raid 3 nights and pretty much clear all the instances worth doing. Of course, being in Australia sucks cause I can only catch 1 of those raids.

Re: WoW Achievements
VP's one night. SoH another night. Kill Trak twice. Not much else left that's worth the time. Admittedly, getting VP down to one night took a bit.
