Sunshine
Just went and bought the DVD, missed it in theatres.
Let me say that I enjoyed it - there were a couple of BS science moments, but I expected that from the premise.
I did NOT expect most of the second half of the movie. Not spoiling it, either, but it's a far cry from the rehash of 2001 I was thinking of.

Re: Sunshine
Phenomenal movie.
10/10 IMO.
I haven't seen too many scifis without "BS science moments" - well, not that I'd know the diff anyways
The music is pretty intense, but that's kinda what Boyle goes for. Reminescant of the intensity/dramtics of 28 Weeks Later. I was shocked and awed by the grimness of the movie, and the quasi-realistic displays of human sacrifice.

Re: Sunshine
I hated it. Epic failure IMO. That film had incredible potential and failed in just about every category. It needed another good hour of story and character development. I know sci-fi plots are deliberately clouded and take some leaps of faith on the audience's part, but this one was just bad.
I give it a D.

I hadn't even heard of this movie till Sir Partha made this thread. I watched the trailer and will probably try and rent it next time I'm out. My only complaint so far is that it's yet another movie to steal RFAD music.

Re: Sunshine
What is Sunshine? I think of that blonde quarterback from "Remember the Titans." His name was Sunshine. AWww.
He knew Tai Chi.
So, I look up "remember the titans" + Sunshine on Google images, and I came up with this.

Is that hot to guys? Or just plain weird?
