compusa

Post by Mukik »

There was a news article before christmas about compusa closing. I dont see any sales or anything to show when / if there will be a liquidation. is there going to be or is compusa going to maintain is level of 'service' until the pig finally dies.

Yeah the one here closed a while back. Had some kick ass deals. I do suggest you go to the store though. Half the stuff I got for way less then even the advertised price. They just wanted the shit gone. It was awesome.

Be extremely careful of those CompUSA closing clearances.
The entire inventory of the stores is being sold to a "Liquidating Company" that takes over the store and clearances everything off. Before you buy anything check how much you could buy it for elsewhere. They have been known to raise the sticker price on items so that you think you are getting a deal when you take 30% off the marked price. http://consumerist.com/341677/photos-co ... ation-sale

Agreed on the being careful part. You might get a shitty deal on a product you can't return if it's defective. Personally I'd stay away from their liquidation and stick with newegg. Man, I wish there was a Fry's in Spokane :(

Our compusa is still open here as far as I know...Oh well, we're on a first name basis with the UPS driver...

Each have been more useful than the others at various times. Stick with these if you want some decent deals.
