It's a disturbing thing to watch and probably would be as inflammatory as the Abu Ghraib photos.
And you're probably being more practical than I am. I think they should have been kept, but definitely been classified pretty highly. I do understand that a redacted version could still end up being released under that situation, but I don't think the end result would be unmanageable politically - especially if a very public inquiry and disciplinary action were taking place at the same time. That's most likely way too altruistic to be any sort of reality though.
