Velious is inevitable. Luclin... they blew that up. It's sitting in 2 halves in the sky every night. There is much rejoicing.

Holy fuck the wurms look fantastic!!!

Frick I want more game time. I'm playing WoW during my winter break because it's so simple and easy to stop and I don't have time to commit. Dammit, I want time to commit to EQ2!!!

VP key is a lot simpler - just have to beat a previous raid instance and you can get in. Then clearing that and chardok lets you into Venril Sathir's room and Trak's room. Trak appears to be tougher than the VP dragons this time around.

People have already got into VP on EQ2? Neat.

Since EQ1 VP has been overhauled, I looked into the mobs there, especially the raid level dragons, like Phara Dar and what not. They still don't look like they are too tough. Is it probably that a full group of well equipped 75's could clear the whole zone?

Also, did they remove the ports to sky and fv? wtf?

Did FV have a port? I thought it was EJ. And they are called weird names - circle of the north wind or something.

I don't think there was ever a port to FV. I can still remember that fucking boat ride...

No, inside VP. The circles are in Skyshrine. There used to be ports out in VP that took you to FV, Plane of Sky and there was one more, I just can't remember where.

East Freeport was the other. It'd drop you in the water by the docks. Funny thing, after the Freeport area revamp (Freeport, Oasis, Commonlands...maybe OoT?) you were able to take the ports out of VP to the pre-revamp versions. I'm not sure if that still works, though. Ckador was bound there for awhile in pre-revamp, because I'm a sentimental fool.

New level cap is now 80 with the expansion. I'd wonder if the revamp VP dragons could be solo'ed at this point. Might give me an excuse to play again, if only for a little while. I'd have to do my homework on them first, though.

That was my question, Ck. I looked up some mob info on the raid dragons (Phara Dar, Silverwing, etc.) and they looked doable by one group, but I don't know that first hand. Solo, I'd highly doubt. Maybe 3 or 4 in a group of really freaking awesomely geared up toons from our guild. I just can't see them done without a shammy/enchanter, tank, clerk and/or secondary healer. Their AE's/melee combination and stuff seem too much to rely on the resists. They don't hit too hard, but one of them has knockback. I'm no good at stratics, especially in the newer content. It just seems to me that to do it right, a full group of well-equipped players is needed. We need someone who knows l33t strats inside and out to get in there and do some testing, or someone who knows first hand.

Tell you what, some of the new "Aged" gear that drops would do Fingle some good. The caster loot there is decent. And since I'm 65 with less than 200 AA, it would fit me nicely as a bridge to get to the good loots my guild has been getting since I've been away.

Mine you, I'm not coming back, it's just fun to think about it.

The biggest problem with Silverwing is her charm. With a small number of people, that screws you over very quickly.

When they redesigned VP, it was intended to be approximately Time / GoD level. It was never really meant to be newly brutally hard. Even so...

Damn, I remember being excited when I got my first 200+ hp item before augs even existed.

To give you an idea, and this is without even trying to find the 'best' augments. You could sub the last blood for a bazu if you weren't Demi flagged, but if Ark ever stumbled on a last blood, this is what I'd make:

Elegant Mistwoven Robes (Augmented)
MAGIC ITEM NO TRADE ATTUNEABLE
Slot: CHEST
AC: 112
Focus Effect: Vindication of the Dragorn
STR: +28 DEX: +24 STA: +28 CHA: +25 Wis: +28 INT: +28 AGI: +28 HP: +699 MANA: +699 Endurance: +599 SV FIRE: +35 SV DISEASE: +38 SV COLD: +34 SV MAGIC: +31 SV POISON: +44 SV CORRUPTION: +20

Mana Regeneration: +5
Damage Shield: 4
Combat Effects: +5 Strikethrough: +2% Shielding: +2% Spell Shield: +10% Avoidance: +14 Accuracy: +5 Stun Resist: +4%
DoT Shielding: +4%
Recommended level of 79
Required level of 75
WT: 2 Size: LARGE
Class: NEC
Race: IKS
slot 1, type 7: Hardened Coalstone of Purity (Ashengate, FC)
slot 2, type 11: Sublime Chest Symbol of Terror (Crafted)
slot 3, type 12: Last Blood of the Warmonger (Crafted/Drop)

//

Probably won't see a last blood for a while tho. I sure do love my Ikkinz4 robe, ha ha. :D
