I've been looking forward to it, but don't think I'll actually pay the subscription fees to get the better multiplayer gear.

I'm wondering how well it'll do. Pre-orders get an option to buy a lifetime subscription for $149, kind of like how EA did with LOTRO.

God, I wish EQ had've had that option. :(

This game is so much fun. You get a quest to kill a dude from INSIDE his own mind. :)

I like this game a lot so far. I'm surprised it runs pretty nicely on my old system.

It must be the mage in me, but Engineer is pretty damn fun so far.

I am "Max". It's the name I usually take for a fighter/warrior/melee/hack-em-to-pieces toon. Originally named after my first Rolemaster character whose final words were "there's only 12 of them!".

I'm Superwalrus but I don't really play, I don't find it that interesting. Only given it about 20 mins though so I dunno.

Well the beta was fun, but I don't think I'll be buying the game. It got annoyingly easy. Instead of using skill or tactics, you just run around holding the mouse buttons down with no consequence. I didn't like that there was no pvp either. It was fun to try out in the beta, but thanks for letting me preview the game so that I know not to buy it.

Did you ever play with more than just yourself in a party, Tax? I found the game got a hell of a lot harder when you had a group.

Yeah I grouped up a few times. It did get harder but was still kinda... meh. I was excited enough to buy it the first couple hours I played, then it just died down into a no skill point-clicker.

Pretty sure it's all MMO.

No, its essentially a single player game with online playability, much like Diablo 2. You have the *option* to pay to play online, what that does is opens more stuff and more elite gear up to you.

Do you mean "single player" as in everything but the stations were instanced or did I miss where you could play without logging into the server?

The beta only had the online part. The release game has a full single player offline game.

Well, if it has a full single player mode, I'd be interested.
