need assistant please
i have recently purchased a new computer, acer model # ase380-ud440a and also purchased the geforce 8600 gts oc. my problem is that i am retarded when it comes to computer spec and such, what i noticed is that the vid card is not booting because the computer comes with 250w output such and such with bunches of nunmber i cant comprehend. so i was wondering if the internal power dohickies are all compatable, like if i can use my old power box which is antec neo model #he550....if you can help me it would help ne alot 8o)

gonna go out on the limb and guess you're gonna need a 500+w power supply for that video card.

well the old power supply i had had 550watt output so i took a chance and installed it, and my motherboard is not fried, so i think its ok, and my display and such is working, but now the new vid card is not being read my the new hardware wizard, and it is not being displayed in control panel and such, and i am now getting antsy and irritating hehe anyone out there can assist me?

You probably just need to install the drivers anyway. Download them from nVidia (the GF8800 ones) and install them. When it reboots, everything will probably work.
