I had so many problems with this movie I don't know where to start. Being a comic book fan I suspend a ton of fact to accept Hollywood's interpretation of comic origins but the symbiote arriving on a meteor was just so much tripe. They had a perfect arrival that could have tied in with #2 and have the symbiote come back with JJ's son from his space mission.
Sandman rarely ever uses that huge version of himself in the comics because it is so draining on his power to control that much sand. Water does not affect him like it did in the movie.
Gwen Stacy........WTF........she is DEAD in the comics. Died a long damn time ago back when the Green Goblin was first introduced and waaaaaaaay before Parker ever met MJ,
And for crying out loud when are they going to use Dr. Connors and turn in into the Lizard. He is one of the oldest spidey villians and he's been in all three movies now.
I was rather PO'd at this movie......best part of going was the new trailer for FF2.

Holy FUCK it was bad. Nic Cage topped himself for over-acting (surprise) couldn't decide if he was Ghost Rider or Elvis. It tried to be funny and scary - only the scary parts made you laugh and the funny parts were soooo lame, it was almost amusing because of the black hole of suck it created.
FYI - Jared Leto was best known for his acting (cough if you want to call it that) long before his emo-band. Film & TV - "My So-called Life".

I agree Kulaf. Not only that but Gwen Stacey didn't even act ANYTHING like she did in the comics. I mean she was like a badass rebel chic with daddy issues, surely destined to be a super hot stripper when she grew up but never got the chance. Also Peter's first crush, not Mary Fucking Jane.
And yeah, the Emo Peter Parker... fucking ghey. Made him look old if you ask me.
I am glad to hear they are going to do a #4, but I wish they would kill Dunst's character off or at least have her kidnapped for the entire thing. God I hate that whore.
And again... I just hate that they totally fucked Venom. Someone's nuts should definitely be kicked... a lot.

I can't remember the last time I read a Spider Man comic, but, isn't that how Venom gets reintroduced anyway? Escaping from the lab attached to someone? Or was that how Carnage was brought about?Xtizu wrote:well continuity can be fixed, parker did leave a sample with a scientist friendSelect wrote:I haven't seen it, but they may bring Venom back. It's not like they care too much about continuity.
I'd like to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my ass.

I swear to fucking Christ Xil if you post a stupid fucking Wikipedia link that attempts to explain what happens with Venom even though Wikipedia is the most UNRELIABLE source of information there is, I'll pay someone to stab you.

The scenes switching back and forth was pretty annoying...really bad storyline...terrible camera work...bad lightning...ridiculously unrealistic (yea, I know it's a movie, but, well, it was depicting people's lives)...I just don't like that artsy shit. Gimme a guy in a mask with a butcher knife chasing around half nekkid cheerleaders any day.

So what you're saying is that you have absolutely no taste in movies.
Hell, you probably think Donnie Darko is a bad movie then.
