I downloaded a couple movies onto my computer and when I go to watch them in WMP I get sound but it says there was an error obtaining a Codec so the visual is just the random flashing colors from WMP....
First question...anyone know where I might be able to obtain said Codec so I can actually watch it?
Second...is there a better player I can use?
Third...would it be easier to just change the file type...it's a .avi currently...and if so, how do I go about doing that?

I'd like to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my ass.
