What the fuck is it? Someone asked me if I wanted to "Go see Grindhouse" and I was like; "Sure!" I thought it was like a bad metal band or some shit. I only agreed because she had a smokin' rack.

From what I've gathered it's a double feature of movies that in typical QT style are actually trying to be corny?

Yeah it's a double feature. The first part is by Robert Rodriguez (who directed my all time favorite "zombie" (technically vampires, but who can tell?) movie From Dusk Till Dawn) and the second by QT.

I expect it to just be an entertaining gore fest with ridiculous action sequences and characters emerging as heroes.

For some reason, From Dusk Til Dawn didn't really do it for me.

Maybe it was the lame vampire-zombie things at the club that looked worthy of a GooseBumps cover.

I giggle through that entire movie, it's really weird. Even at the beginning when they set up the fake plot, I just can't stop snickering. It's such a beautiful masterpiece.

Grindhouse was fantastic. Was a lot better than The Reaping, though that wasn't too bad either. Just wasn't as good as Grindhouse. :)
Make love? Fuck that, I'll make a slut cry. Fuck that, I'll make a slut cum nine times.

Hed PE - CBC (acoustic, live on Bubba The Love Sponge)
Hed PE - Let's Ride (live)

That's not saying much, The Reaping got like 2 stars. People are hating that movie.

Weird, I just got back from watching both of these movies. The Grindhouse was amazing, definitely go see it. I liked both features from it about equally.

The Reaping was decent until the last 10 minutes. All of a sudden it turned really preachy and cheap. It was like they ran out of funds or something and decided to cut the movie short.

Anything with Rose McGowan is a go for me--especially since she has a machine-gun leg.

As for the Reaping, it just looked like a more beefed up version of the Omen to me.

OMGZ... kill the little devil girl. At the last moment, Hilary Swank is probably shot down and evil lives on.

That's my guess, anyway.

Re: The Reaping
I've read more than one critic suggest seeing "The Seventh Sign" (an old 1988 demi moore movie, but you've probably heard of it/seen it already) if you are looking for a better version of this type of movie.

Hmm. I liked the 7th Sign.. or Seal.. or whatever it was.

I'm just not sure I'm a Hilary Swank fan. I go back and forth on that one.

Yeah same here. She's just odd to me....strange looking and the way she talks is, I don't know, weird.

QT's half of the double feature sucked. Thank goodness it was second or I might have walked out. It was bad enough to have 4 chicks sit around talking for 15 minutes.....but to do it twice........I wanted to gouge out my eyes.

His was definitely slower, but that's QT for you. I thought he did a good job as always. The curb stomp at the very end was the best. Plus it was kinda interesting to see the cast from rent in a car chase scene.

I don't know, but I finally saw it and QT's part put me to sleep. Kulaf was spot on. zzzzz
This wasn't worth the price of admission for one whole movie, it only delivered half a movie.

300 was worth seeing 3 times, this I honestly didn't want to see once.

Well, I finally saw it.

Frack me, yes. QT needs to be reigned in on how to NOT write useless, lame-ass dialogue. Like I want to sit there watching these chicks ride around in a car, talking about making out with their boyfriends. Furthermore, we get to watch Jungle Jane (or whatever her name is) texting some guy the other half of the time.

Then, as if that wasn't enough, we get to see 4 more chicks sitting around a table eating while they talk about their boyfriends and crap. Rosario Dawson is awesome, don't get me wrong and I love what happened to Kurt Russell in the end. That was a sweet car chase scene, but geesh.

I would have enjoyed the second one far more if it was only 20-30 minutes long--cutting out all the talking and conversation.

I do have to say, Rose McGowan rocks! So does Freddy Rodriquez. The first film could have stood on its own, imho. And, the trailers were hilarious.
