im messing around with yahoo desktop and so far im liking it alot better. are there any widgets or tools you reccomend Dd?
Ive been monotoring my system performance so far with it on and several other programs and it doesnt seem to hinder performance like google desktop. Is that mainly because of googles indexing feature?

If you just installed Google Desktop, it does take a little while to get everything indexed but it should be running when you aren't using your computer for anything.Desolus wrote:im messing around with yahoo desktop and so far im liking it alot better. are there any widgets or tools you reccomend Dd?

I tried out google desktop but didn't really like it and uninstalled. It's not that it didn't work properly but I just didn't see any reason why I needed it.

MultiNewsReader is the one I recommend the most. Allows several RSS feeds going into a single widget. The real issue with it is you can't move it around the screen, but it does hide itself when you've read everything. Other than that, I just have the weather as a transparent overlay (click-through).are there any widgets or tools you reccomend Dd?
