Strangely enough, I had more fun in GW than probably any other game multiplayer game and all I ever did was PvE. But I played it back before any expansions came out, and I eventually did what everyone did. Played through just about every race/class combo and eventually farming green shit over and over and over just got old. I've heard nothing but great things about the expansions, but I just never have had time to dive back in.
Maybe I will some day.

The big news with Guild Wars? No more expansions! The developers readily admit that they simply cannot meet the goal of an expansion every six months. Their other concern is the elevating of the learning curve with each expansion and the requirement for an ever increasing manual size.
They are beginning work on Guild Wars2. The estimate is two years but they will be tossing some minor free content at old Guild Wars.

Yeah, they have one more expansion planned for GW1, and then they are going to stop developing on it. I personally think that's a pretty cool choice. Hell, Starcraft hasn't been changed in years and people still play that like crazy.
