I'll start by admitting I was a dummy for handing over an item to a stranger. That being said, here is the story:

I was soloing in NC the other day when a Sodolite dropped. Asked in bazaar channel for a price check. The above named offered to cut it for me. I gave it over and the rest is history. The excuses were pretty funny though....

I apologize for not taking a SS of the follow up, but what happened was we went to the bazaar where he suddenly found the aug somehow already augged to his wrist armor (most likely he ran to the aug pool) First you need a pool to combine the aug and armor and secondly this aug was attunable which means when you try to wear it a pop up box asks you if you are sure you want to do that. The fact he tried to say this aug skipped all of that and went straight to his armor after the cut is just unreal.

Anyway, it wasn't that big of a deal. Like I said, I guess I had it coming for handing it over to someone I didn't know. Just warning others not to trust the guy. Take care.

now im not sure iof this works but since u got a screen shot u can then show it to a GM and you will get your aug back and he gets suspended

it's my experience that GMs don't take SSs as evidence since they can be edited...unless something's changed in the time i've been gone

You're right about Iincon being a smooth operator, most rip-off artists try to disappear fast once they've got the loot. This guy made quite a show of it all. I was expecting to see something along the lines of "Gah, Lag!"; instead it's "OMG crap" and a long flakey story about how he couldn't help but rip you off.

i think after he got ganked, he stretched his window up to capture all the text eh could, then SS'd, and the other window captured lincons feeble attempt looking for another one.. which would have occured after the ' oops i just lost yours' message

Yeah, it was a little strange for the fact of the night that this happened he was in the guild <Vlos d'Veldrin> The next night I did a /who on him and he had a new guild tag <Avatars of Midnight> Why he switched guilds overnight, I'm not sure.

As for his ooc asking to buy another solodite, it was after his whole little 'oops' thing. I did petition a GM when it happened telling them what happened and I also asked the GM to check if the item was gone or if Iincon still had it (Which became moot anyway sine he "found" it in his armor once we got to the bazaar.

) The GM wrote back that they do not give out information about other players or thier inventory and that since I failed to do a /report along with my petition there wasn't anything they were going to do.

And as for the banker, thats what I get for updating my video card drivers...
