Well, that's what I'm referring to. No one inside the system doubted the truth of it. Some outside the system, however, did. Kerry might have had doubts as to whether invasion was the correct course of action, but I'd bet good money he believed Saddam had WMD.

Not on Kerry's sincerity persay (I'd never wish to suggest any politician possessed that virtue), but rather on the nature of the system. As an interesting correlating event, are you aware that we don't have any "proof" (in the Iraq-war-debate sense of the word) that N. Korea actually has a nuclear weapon, or is even building one? Yet everyone assumes that they do/are.

The interesting thing in this situation is if Iraq never happened, and we invaded N Korea instead based on the claims of the 'crazy dictator', people would only be relieved if he turned out to be lying, instead of screaming for proof like Iraq.vaulos wrote:I just find it funny that you are advocating we should base our foreign policy on the word of two crazy dicators.

You are just super at taking half a sentence to make the entire thing completly out of context and almost oppisite of what I said, here I can do it too.
See, all I had to do delete a few words and letters like you did and we can have fun with quotes. But I assure you your above post contained every single one of these words in that order, there were just more words or letters in between or after.Rsak wrote:Narith, the president lied
Amazing that we are that proof!

North Korea had reactors that we had cameras in to monitor what was happening. Iraq had no reactors. Iraq was judged to be 'possibly one year away from having an atomic weapon if they could get their hands on the refined materials.' Give you a hint - Rsak could be one year away from having an atomic weapon if he could get his hands on enough enriched uranium or plutonium.Falundir X`Viento wrote:The interesting thing in this situation is if Iraq never happened, and we invaded N Korea instead based on the claims of the 'crazy dictator', people would only be relieved if he turned out to be lying, instead of screaming for proof like Iraq.vaulos wrote:I just find it funny that you are advocating we should base our foreign policy on the word of two crazy dicators.

Narith,
I quoted your statement exactly how they appeared without any editing in the proper context.
If you honestly cannot tell the difference between compacting a sentence by removing a section and quoting only a section without editing it you really are gonna have some problems when you get out of the 3rd grade and join the real world where you petulant behaviour will not be accepted.
At least you have made progress and realized that your position is indefensible and you are instead trying to attack me for something that occured only in your mind. You really need to work on your trolling!

End the hypocrisy!

I could easily be mistaken in the time frame, but I belive I saw multiple reports which stated the cameras were 'unlawfully' distroyed many months before N Korea announced they had a working model. I just find it amusing that the international community actually gave him the reactor and expected him to play nice. That is like giving your kids money to get something to eat at the mall and expecting them to buy health food.
