Brell hack?

Recently heard as of last night that a few friends/guildmates have been hacked... I heard about a guy selling ultra rare items Aons/etc in the bazaar for like 90k. My ex guild leader posted on guild boards that his info had been changed. Mutiple players in my guild old and new have been reporting such issues. Anyone know anything about this?

lol well i have not been on brell al but today and i noticed alot of my items were gone but not sure lol my pw and stuff is still the same all but on 1 account

I have a number of droppable items as primary gear, ecch. But then nobody else has my info.

I have an alt who is missing about 900k in droppables. I havent looged this over twinked alt in about 2 months tho. His account info was shared either. Its kinda scary considering there are a few close friends who have my account info and with hacks going around I had the potential threat to lose Millions of plat (which has been moved to a different friends account which was reactivated specificaly for this)

This is crazy tho. ...

I suspect this "hack" is a hack on another EQ site.. usernames and passwords grabbed from there, tried on EQ.

Fortunately my EQ UN and PW are unique.

ya i had about 2 million in augments gone from my account crap load of dropable gear gone from one of my accounts on ct and all my chars striped on brelll from that one account but i change my passwords all the time but still it makes me wonder if sony is doing this cause u know they are trying to cut back on ebayers but really i have not a clue cause it only seems they are hitting all the big rollers on each servers soo really i got no clue

I logged out in Tranquility 3 or 4 days ago, today I tried to login and it gave me invalid password message. I called SOE and they reset my password to a temp one. I then found out that the e-mail and security question had been changed on the account also so I couldn't change the password.

When I logged in I was camped out in the bazaar with my AoN, Jaundiced Bone BP, and all my platinum missing.

well cause i transfer plat to and off legends and few people know me for what i do least to say the differance i know a few people who do what i do but i'm not saying anything else that will get me into trouble up to my.... well ya u get the picture i guess i'm just lucky i transfered most of my plat and items to my new account

Might be just hear-say, but a friend told me to watch for people transfering accounts from Brell to other servers. Apparently a lot of high end loot has been collected, but can't easily be sold on Brell without someone being spotted. Since it sounds like many people got their accounts broken into I'm wondering if there is some inside job or a new hacking tool of some kind? Also I doubt all this hacking is for anything other than cash, so much has been reported stolen, it has to start showing up on playerauctions or ebay.

had a password problem today but got it fixed to come back to my only 900 pp in the bank missing (damn people are greedy) and some magnetic damages peices i was gonna smith for friends but all is all i changed my pw and everything

I tried to log on today to reactivate my account and found that my password, email address and other account information had been changed. since my account has been shut down for about 6 months i doubt anything is missing from it but it still sucks that my info and pass was changed...

I logged in about 3 days ago to cancel my account only to find out my password was changed. I got the temp one which really made no sense at all. The temp password, which was changed already was "Groppinass". WTH kind of password is that from Sony?

Anyway nothing missing but all I have is 45K in cash and some Ok dropable gear worth about 150K.

You can now add me to the list of people whom were hacked.Today i tried to log in and recived the Error:account invalid message.They changed my account PW and Station name.I'm doing my best to retrive my account since returning from my weekend vaction just to learn that i was apparently logged in 11/28 while i was on the other side of the island.

I'm assuming all my dropables were sold and plat removed.My alt Cleric has'nt been logged in since October by myself..since he's in guild,was able to check this.If anyone see's Kalohe on within the next few days or however long it takes SoE to fix this you can bet it's not me.

It's a sad day for me..

And if you slimy motherfucker is reading this,FINGER FUCK YOU!!!

maybe its people who have moved to a new game and no longer care about eq1 and are hoping to make some rl cash before the bottom drops out of the plat for $$ market. Its probably a combination of "friends" and people with access to a variety of methods for obtaining a users favored paswords.

with all the plat sellers and hackings that have happened on brell in teh last 6 months , starting with kays back when ,when i log off for the night i camp to the char select screen, thats it i dont close eq, just minamize it, that way im always logged in and ur account cant have the pw changed ,
